This book had so many elements that were so well done! The found family, the romance (even though it was insta-love vibes), the remodeling, and the mystery had me all engaged! Since there was a lot going on and to focus on, there never was a dull moment for me. All the different storylines were so flushed out and well done that I thought it wrapped up each subplot well.

Silas and Maggie were quite the match. Even though they had different backgrounds and rode different wavelengths, they made it work. Their communication skills were good for the most part! There were times when they needed to talk more, but based on how they both viewed life, their reactions made sense and it was resolved quickly.

I loved all the subplots with Cody, the mystery of the house, and the renovating of the house! It was all so well-balanced and I was invested in everything. The Cody plot seriously tugged at all the heartstrings and I loved him! I could read a whole book about him tbh.

Overall, I LOVED!!!
