This book hit so close to home. This is such a great resource for kids that are dealing with both a mental health crisis and trauma in the face of a culture that doesn't necessarily always embrace therapy, medications, or putting the individual above the group. As someone who is Hispanic and grew up surrounded by this culture in the midst of growing mental health challenges, I related to Ivez struggle with herself, with who to trust, and how to put herself first.
