Text Me When You Get Home: The Evolution and Triumph of Modern Female Friendship
by Kayleen Schaefer
The concept is amazing, but the content and the writing fell short. I didn’t disagree with any of the author’s points, it’s just that they could’ve been summed up in a single essay. I tried to frame it as like “well maybe this is just a sweet love letter to her bff,” but the pages upon pages of tv scene-descriptions didn’t allow for that positive twist.
