Half Life
by Shelley Jackson
This was.... not what I expected. Initially it started out good but then things quickly progressed into this weird mess at the end. I sort of get that it was meant to be about shared consciousness and that you really don't know whether Nora or Blanche is telling this story, but I got pretty lost. By the fourth book at the end there wasn't a strong enough grasp of reality for me to figure out what was going on. The whole premiss with nuclear fall out was pretty neat and the idea of "twofers" almost existing as a new sexual identity was intriguing but overall I wouldn't say it was one of my favorites.
