The Wind in the Willows
by Alan Bennett, Kenneth Grahame
I thought this was very sweet, although I feel as if I would have appreciated it more at a younger age.
It presented the countryside in an idyllic way, and all the characters seemed like really nice people - well, animals (except for Toad and the Wild Wooders).
