Mini-Review:

It's hard to believe in the the setting & plot of this story but I'm trying cause I am curious to see where the authors are going with it. They put in a lot of little details to make the story more accessible and it just makes me wince or think about other details that would have been better.

What keeps me going? The shifters! There's a Gargoyle, Unicorn, Kitsune, Kraken and Puca. I do want to see how that turns out. What they are like and how they all mix together. This book left me feeling like the authors cut the story to keep readers panting rather than it was a good place to stop. That's annoying. Already started on book two but not sure if I will keep up with the series because it's not turning out to be as unique as it could.
