What do I say about this book without spoiling it?
The first 80% is incredible. It's a true novel of suspense with slow reveals as it follows Ally trying to rediscover her lost memories. But then it's like The novel switched authors and the last 20% is a harried and garbled end. It was so unsatisfying that it made me feel like it was a true waste of time.
Every nugget left by the author seemed like it was setting up for a completely different ending. Its hard for me to not reflect and think that the endings I thought the plot was headed towards would have been a thousand times better. I don't understand why the author chose to make it the person she did. There were so many better options and it just fell flat with that end.
