wow. what a bittersweet ending to this trilogy. damn, going into this, i had no idea how heavy and gruesome it would be. everyone just said that they loved it a lot, but this is the true definition of a dystopian novel. yea, the characters may have been ultimately successful in overthrowing a corrupt government, but there were many many sacrifices made. there are always sacrifices involved, and sometimes they're not fair (still sobbing at finnick and prim's death in this book)
i also liked that katniss killed president coin. i liked that the rebellion leader was basically another dictator- it shows that both sides had its flaws. anyway, coin always rubbed me the wrong way
this series will definitely be staying with me, and i will certainly be thinking about the real world issues that it tackles. although i thought that this book wrapped up a little too fast, i loved the ending epilogue. it was realistic, haunting, and utterly bittersweet.
a little tribute to the people who didn't make it:rue, prim, finnick, cinna, mags, wiress but especially to my favourite guys cinna π§΅π finnick ππ primπ₯π rue π¦π i love you guys, i miss you guys ΰ²₯β βΏβ ΰ²₯ π©΅
