This is a middle grade book so I do not take it seriously but it was very fun and nostalgic for me so I love it anyway.
There were randomly weird descriptions/interactions with some of the women that I was just like uncomfortable with? Like why was it necessary for the main character to be like flustered over a girl's "figure" and kiss her while still sort of dating another girl necessary? Maybe nitpicking but it just sometimes felt out of place.
Otherwise love the story and concept and David's development and him seeing the dragons finally was very sweet/cool!
