Perfect You by Elizabeth Scott
4.0
This was a good story, but for some reason I felt it was lacking something. Not that it kept me from enjoying it, but I felt a few things could have been better explained. Especially in the end. I did find a few characters got on my nerves a bit (Grandma, Anna,Dad)though most books always have that one, or in this case a few people.
I did enjoy the relationship between Will and Kate. It was very innocent compared to most of the books I've read. They never went beyond kissing. While I like more progress in a relationship I just fell like it would have been off had it have happened in this story. Plus it made this book okay for almost anyone.
The fist half of the book was better than the last half in my opinion. This being the reason for the four stars. The beginning was definitely more humorous than, say, the end. And it like I mentioned above, it was missing something. Like, maybe, a properly explained ending. If just sort of felt like the story just complete dropped off and then there was an epilogue (kind of).
Another positive thing I liked about "Perfect You" was that not everyone's dream of happily ever after actually happens, and though we may not get what we ask for in life, we have the ability to be happy with what we do have. We can all be happy if we allow ourselves to.
I would definitely recommend this story for anyone needing a good laugh or someone just in the mood to forget their problems for a while and deal with someone else's, because believe me,Kate has plenty of them.
