Love Me Like You Do by Lea Coll

4.0

When Harrison finds himself in a tough situation, he knows that the one person he can turn to is his best friend Everly. And he knows that she will do anything for him. Things to look for in this book:

Single dad ✔️
Best friends to lovers ✔️
Fake relationship ✔️
Small town romance ✔️
Forced proximity ✔️
One bed ✔️

Harrison has recently decided to go to the courts for more custody of his daughter, but to do so, his lawyer suggests that it would be better if he was in a committed relationship to prove that he is stable. So he decides right then and there that he is going to ask Everly to fake it with him so that he can get joint custody of his daughter Wren.

Everly is used to not having people love her and not trusting people to stay. She has been let down so many times in her life and I just felt so sad for her. So when her best friend Harrison needs a favor, she jumps on it to help him because that’s just who she is. She agrees to move in and play the part of the loving girlfriend. But at some point things go from pretend to real. But will Everly be able to get over her trust issues and get her own fairytale?

I loved Harrison and Everly’s friendship and was happy to see them both finally get their happy ending! There were some tough parts to read that made me want to throat punch one of the characters, but they both end up getting what they want and need in the end.

My favorite part of this book was the epilogue! It was so fun and such a great ending to their story.
