Hail Mary by Lani Lynn Vale

5.0

Marianne Garwood is having to do the hardest thing imaginable. Dante Hail has regrets and Cobie Cavanagh has been asked a question that hurts her heart.

I have enjoyed this series immensely and this book was just a reminder why. It also didn’t hurt that I’ve been waiting for Dante’s story. Our author took a serious moment and turned it around so I couldn’t help but let out a silent chuckle – a male coworker was in the lunchroom with me and I didn’t want to explain otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to hold it in.

This is a tender story, a sad story and a story of hope. Plus the biggest feeling is love and you’ll have no trouble seeing that here. The author even has time to add in action and suspense that just increased my enjoyment. But she also added in a scene that made me very angry because of how stupid some people can be. You think things are going to work out and you sit there reading with a smile on your face but then you realize that the author is saying in your ear, “I’m not quite done yet so pay attention”. And I did with a smile on my face but a frown appeared at the end – no hints as to whether this series is going to continue or not. If it doesn’t I’ll be sad for a little while but I can certainly go back and read this series again if I want a Hail family fix.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
