All-Star Batman, Volume 1: My Own Worst Enemy by Scott Snyder

5.0

It starts with a diner, then glass shattering everywhere and it keeps going from there. The start of another novel I very much enjoyed. Interesting story lines, villains that are no match against Batman and some that make his day a nightmare. So much goes on and the intensity of it continues throughout the whole comic.

Two-Face makes an appearance in this one and he demands his moment in the spotlight. Of course, Batman comes to the rescue, having always to deal with these psychopaths with crazed agendas. And everyone out there who has ties or is a hired gun, goes out there searching for both of them, making Bats life even more chaotic.

It’s a fast-paced read, filled with twists and turns at every turn of the page and it goes like that for most of the novel. I was very pleased with the illustrations and the characters that were in this edition. As well as where the story lead and how it all tied back in with whom Two-Face really is.

This is one that I will for sure be adding to my collection once it is out. And wow does it quickly escalate and the scene gets more extreme, with a mob that is unrelenting. Loved every part of it.
