Wow, a truly excellent book. Beautiful stories, compelling plot, and an interesting world to explore! It’s just… Kvothe in the story is only 17, and so Kote has ~30 years of life to tell in just one more book?? I would rather he take 5 or 6 days (books) to tell his whole life well than skim over all the amazing stuff in this story. The framing of Kote telling his story to Chronicler does also start to fall apart here, as the contemporary world is very boring compared to the past but not in a way that is a good foil.
