Loose Changeling by A.G. Stewart

4.0

I received and arc of Loose Changeling on First Reads.

4.5/5

To say I enjoyed the book would be an understatement. Loose Changeling takes the meaning of action-packed to a whole new level. Most books take ages to reach a scene that's interesting, but from the first few chapters I was taken into the life of the main character, Nicole (that was around the time I decided sleep wasn't important). Most authors just write meaningless chapters to fill up space in the book, but A.G. Stewart gives readers what they actually want –action, humour, romance, and ass-kicking fighting scenes. Throughout the entire book there was not one moment where I was bored.

The character development was well established. I absolutely loved, Kailen (sexy fae mercenary on a mission, but also with shocking secrets). I mean, who wouldn't want an extremely hot man to show up on your doorstep. Whether it be fighting hobgoblins (nasty creatures) or his affections for Nicole, I was ALWAYS desperate for more. Then there's Nicole, who went from salesperson to sword fighting master with the ability to manifest objects. The change in her didn't feel forced, but flowed easily with the revelations she uncovered. It was absolutely amazing. It came to the point where every thought was consumed with this book.

And now that I've finished it, with the epic badass fighting scene which left me breathless and the promise of more struggles to come, all I can think of it is this: I. NEED. MORE.

And so, that wait for the next instalment of Changeling Wars begins.
