What if you found yourself moving into, out of, and through the sunken place? And the sunken place was tied to a terrible event in a place where people were stuck in a loop? Also, if people go to the sunken place for fun, because the Internet challenges them to (Tide pods were not a thing I understood)? This is Raquel’s challenge — figure out this place, save the love interest, divorce herself from the place. Without spoilers, I appreciated that the end wasn’t as tidy as it could have been. It tracks with larger systematic social issues. Bonus: it took a turn I didn’t expect.
