The Doctor's Wife
by Daniel Hurst
The Doctor's Wife is a gripping domestic thriller with layer upon layer of twists.
GP Drew and his wife move from Manchester to a small village near the border between England and Scotland. Ostensibly for a better work/life balance, but actually because Drew is desperate to follow his mistress and resume their affair.
The prologue reveals the discovery of a body and we then follow the perspectives of husband and wife across dual timelines as the intrigue unfolds.
Another gripping, twisty and suspenseful read from one of my favourite authors and the narrators do a great job of bringing the characters and action to life.
