Review:
For all her life, Astrid has been im engaged to a stranger,  but when her dad suddenly passes away, and now she has no where left to turn, she is now whisked away to a life she never even imagined by her fiancé. When she arrives she learns that their are more secrets than answers. When the truth is finally revealed, and her fiancé now taken away from her, it is now up to Astrid to find her way back to him.
First off, I truly think anyone who DIDN’T enjoy ACOTAR or a Curse So Dark and Lonely will like this book. The plot is more thought out and the characters definitely more likable.
I also loved the little adorable(although if you called him that he would probably peck your ear off) sidekick bird. It definitely brings back some of that “Disney Princess” vibes back into the story
Now, I will say, I do think it needs alittle more world building. Yes, magical animals do exist in this magical outside world, but how does that correlate with the real world?

My other thing is the romance doesn’t seem believable. It feels forced. Like it is destiny or something for this person to fall in love with this guy.
I do honestly think it’s a decent read though!
