This nutmeg nominee addressed changes in family structures. It was very life lesson heavy. Chester’s dad left when he was little and it’s just been him and his mom. Now his mom is dating someone else and it’s getting more series. The ideas of blending the families and kids together, how to introduce them to one another, who family really is, honestly in communication, and how to handle when parents abandon you. It’s not as light of a read. I wish that it was just one family structure change instead of so many wrapped together. It was cute, but not what I expected.
