Aru Shah and the End of Time by Roshani Chokshi

This was cute. And more importantly, it's the first of the publishing imprint where people apply the rough tropes of Rick Riordan's books (the children of the gods in the modern world) to their religious myth structures. I learned a lot I didn't know about Hindu myth and the Pandava brothers, and look forward to more.

Is it great art? No, but it's cute and engaging and has some nice YA moral questions. There are pop culture references that will stale in a few years, but that's not a huge issue.
