I love Ashley Winstead’s thrillers. She has such a captivating voice and drops just enough Easter eggs throughout the story as we keep twisting and turning. The storyline with her dad was interesting but very clearly was the author self-inserting in order to work through her own grief and it needed to connect a bit more to the rest of the story, which was the only deterrent for me. She did a wonderful job of honoring all of the victims of the real- life crimes that Winstead drew on to write this novel, and was a fascinating exploration of the proliferation of true crime communities.
