Thirty-Three Teeth by Colin Cotterill
3.0
My 2nd read in the series. 1970s Laos...This one was a little slow to get through. It had thrilling and engaging moments such as the mystery beast making 3 attacks, the underground tunnels, and the puppets. The busy body Miss Vong is always around; Siri’s “favorite “ neighbor. Dtui still remains my favorite character for her diligence and determination. She complements Siri well in the morgue and in everyday living.
The climax was suspenseful (was it really a beast), and the explanation of how it came to be made perfect sense. But I will say I am glad Mr. Soth will suffer for his actions. Although, I’m still stumped on the meaning of having “thirty-three” teeth!
