They have been best friends for years and have a marriage pact so what better way to cash in on the pact but in Vegas at an all night chapel? After bidding on Asher at the charity to save him from the claws of an influencer, Maeve and Asher head to Vegas on their date package and while checking into the hotel swap rooms with a family and ask them to pay it forward. That picture goes viral along with a phot of them sporting wedding rings in the casino and suddenly they need to stay married for “the optics” of Maeve’s new mural commission and Asher’s new charity.
Asher and Maeve are adorable together and their friendship is rock solid and they’ve been in love with each other for years without realizing it. It’s the small things and the big gestures that let the other one know they matter and that they are valves and loved. I loved how Asher never missed an opportunity to tell Maeve how talented she is and how much he admires her.
This series has been great and I can’t wait for the next book about Leighton and Miles. Who doesn’t love a forbidden love story about the coach’s daughter?
