I love this romance in part because it makes it clear how much it sucks to be treated differently at work, held to different standards, and having to work harder to prove yourself because you're not male - and how difficult it is to be in a relationship with someone who is not aware of his own privilege. And the endless internal debate about saying something when you can't "prove" it but know that it's true, the endless internal guilt and shame about whether it's somehow your fault. That this book can deal with all of that and still be fun to read is a feat.
