i really liked how this book explored the character dynamics of Nassun and Essun but i didnt really connect to any of the characters. The first book was so masterfully done that it quickly became one of my favs but after that i just didnt really care much about the whole story probably bcoz there was too much exposition for something that has been foreshadowed at the end of the first book already.
