She Was the Quiet One by Michele Campbell

3.0

I would like to see an impartial person reading this who does not sympathise more with one or the other sister. Which is great. The story doesn't have plot twists, the intrigue is in the characters and their actions.
For me personally, this is a story about bad things sometimes happening to people who are not entirely pure, lovely and absolutely good. No, annoying people can have trouble too, and they are no more un/pitiable because of this, a realistic lesson many need to learn.
I loved that the book explored that, but I give it 3.25 stars for the occasionally dragged out scenes.
