The Great Good Thing by Roderick Townley

2.5

The beginning very funny--about the characters in a book (running to their places when a reader starts to read) and one character in particular, Sylvie, wants to break the boundaries of her agreed-upon script, who wants to have new experiences, grow, learn.
Very quickly gets weird though--books get burned & characters escape into reader's mind--then go into a strange part of the reader's mind, where they recreate their story but not exactly--musings on death, transformation, life...but overall kind of strange & creepy & not very good.
