Harper was neurodivergent which is fine I know plenty of people who are including myself. Everyone struggles with different things I couldn't relate but still fine. What mostly bothered me throughout the book was that she's terrified of getting a diagnosis because she doesn't want to be her diagnosis however all of her descriptions are her diagnosis.. her personality is already her diagnosis without saying so. She has no hobbies or interests really. She didn't feel like a fully fleshed out personality because it was only about what she struggles with and how she copes with said issues. And then there were little issues thrown in randomly that felt like found online. Neurodivergent people struggle with eye contact. She never mentioned it in her many internal monologues but all of a sudden near the end of the book Chase mentions it in his inner monologue. It felt like it was found out later and just stuffed in. I usually adore Emma's books but this wasn't it for me.
