Two Years Eight Months and Twenty-Eight Nights by Salman Rushdie

2.0

I might be under-rating it, I’ll admit. It is unbelievably and unsurprisingly well written - Rushdie is a great for his imagination, wit, subtle complexity to be in awe of - but I personally was not as taken with this plot. It was a solid story if you appreciate fantasy, but it lacked the existential considerations & incredible character development I expected after reading his novel Quichotte. (Per that novel, I cannot recommend enough!!!)
