I immediately was drawn into this book and was so interested by the subject matter. I felt that the author did a great job of putting a human face on an issue that is so prevalent today. The author provides you with the lives of two couples - one is a well-off Southern California white couple and they are forced to deal with an illegal Mexican couple in dire situations.
This book really opened my eyes to the perception that illegal aliens have of America, the opportunities that they believe they could have here, and the hardships they have once they get here. I still believe you should come to America legally, but it's good to see things from someone else's viewpoint.
