I didn’t love it but it was pretty good. The story was cute but it could’ve ended so much further into the story. I was hoping for a different ending but I’m glad at where our MCs landed in the end. My favorite characters were Kara & Mrs Frances until they revealed the secret about the granddad, still torn on her response. We didn’t get any info about the mysterious cousin. Finally, Thad was one of the biggest grumps I’ve read about in a while, so much I didn’t even like him most of the book until he really started to lighten up. Such slowish burn, but the spicy bits are done well…
