laallain 's review for:
The Seventh Bride
by T. Kingfisher
I don't think I've ever said this in a review before, but this book could have been more descriptive and therefore longer. Although some scenes had a lot of description, I felt like we quickly passed over a lot of them.
I appreciate this creative spin on Bluebeard, and loved the YA touches on Rhea's demeanor and her cute relationship with her hedgehog. I also was super appreciative of the author's choice to entirely omit romance from the story! I love that it read like a fairy tale, and featured some inventive horror scenes.
