I don’t know. For me personally, the book was to short to really have a connection to the characters. The story was also kind of weird. I also feel like a lot of American authors do not really research the European settings and cultures. Ben is football star but could really play any sport based on the descriptions. At some point he scored two points. This is not tennis, it is football. In football you score goals. That is not really hard to research. Also the football club. Le Bleus? Really? The blues? Football clubs in Europe are not named like colors. Just look up any club in France. And the ending was just strange and felt like what might happen in the US at a baseball or American football game. But apart from that it was enjoyable.
