You’re going to cry…… this story was dark and EXCELLENT. The story is captivating and refreshingly different. It’s a great break from the usual story.
However, Bones goes through it. Her story is heartbreaking. She has the ability to heal through magic in a dystopian world and everyone wants to use her abilities for their own agenda. She’s exiled at the age of 10, found by a warlord(for lack of a better description) & the story goes from there.
The found family is amazing. The fear and tension are real. I literally stopped reading because they were finally safe. I was afraid of what was coming so I put it down.
A cliffhanger ending had me picking up the second book immediately.
Read the trigger warnings because you’ll need them. But this story was excellent and I’d recommend to everyone.
