This was beautifully done. I listened to the audiobook read by Daveed Diggs -- highly recommend. What a way to engage with the horrific legacy of the Atlantic slave trade and offer hope for escape for those cast overboard, while acknowledging that such a legacy rises again and again to hurt more and more people the longer we ignore it.
