Interesting book that is steeped in the atmosphere of ancient Egypt. The murder-mystery is very much secondary to the story of Nefertiti and the intrigue of religious and political life of the royal court. A fair bit of mythology in the story which I really enjoyed.
The first half of the novel was a 5 star read for me. The latter part was a bit confusing and strained belief at some points and that is reflected in my final rating.
