amazing! it was really interesting to read this book after reading the cruel prince, some characters in that trilogy have cameos in this book and it explains a few minor details that were in the wicked king and queen of nothing.
I really loved the characters in this book, they were really well written! There are main queer characters who’s storyline doesn’t entirely revolve around their sexuality which i really enjoyed! because it’s a common issue where a lot of authors don’t put much depth into their lgbtq+ and/or BIPOC characters and just write them as a way to add diversity points.
The plot was really good and interesting to see unfold, I just really love the way Holly Black writes books.
