The Eleventh Hour

unfortunately, this book was not for me. I think I have trouble with books being contemporary but having paranormal elements. while reading it felt like the book should’ve have more of a paranormal environment vs contemporary.
I also found myself struggling with the plot in general. when I was reading it felt like there was a bunch of information I should’ve just known before hand. like I felt like an outsider looking in on a close group of friends recalling their history together. because of that, I just couldn’t get into the story or the characters.
the characters kind of annoyed me lmao. but it was mostly because I was being told a lot of things but not really shown so I couldn’t find it within myself to like the characters or form an attachment.
lastly, I did receive this book as an arc but these are my own opinions. I think I’ll stick with the authors OV books and I won’t be checking out the next book in this duet.
