Linger by Maggie Stiefvater

This is going to sound shallow, but a big part of why I started reading these books was the covers. My compliments to the cover artist, well done. A cover is meant to be compelling, and your work did the job. I did read the reviews and the description for the first book, so I really had an interested beyond the cover, but I cannot lie that it did not have great influence.

As for the book . . . this one is just ok.

The first book was all sappy and slow, so I guess I should have expected the same. Oddly, I was thinking this would develop a bigger plot. Didn't really buy the premise so much, but it had its moments.

Oddly, I like the characters of Isabella and Cole better than Sam & Grace. They just seem more real to me. Also, I feel like the teens are way too naive. They are supposed to be almost adults, but read more like barely out of the tweens to me.
