So... I have conflicting feelings about this one. For most of the novel, it felt like a cheap rip-off of Jane the Virgin. The plot points were all basically the same. Even the characters had ridiculously similar names. In a way, it was a lot like watching a movie based on a novel that you love: you already pretty much know what happens and large parts of it are either changed or left out completely. This made 90% of this book incredibly frustrating.
However, I will say that, knowing how the story goes on the TV show, I was quite nervous for the ending.

It wasn't until the final scene that I finally realized that while the book is strikingly similar to the show, this particular story is a romance novel. And we all know that romance novels are well known for one thing in particular. Once I realized that, I enjoyed finishing the story. Although, I was surprised by just how sad I found it to be, simply because I had wished it had been the same for the series.
