a really interesting premiss!
Horror/scifi with a sprinkle of steam punk and post apocalyptic -- all set in an isolated winter setting :)
We follow a parasite who has taken over multiple bodies, and its so interesting to hear the voices of their other bodies offering input for this strange situation they have found themselves in. A fight for survival against another parasite!
Sadly I felt like I was kept at a distance, never really being drawn into the story, there always felt to be some detail I was missing keeping me from connecting with the characters.
Until the ending-- that was glorious!
However, I liked the elements of world building, references to past wars and rebellions. The setting and atmosphere was the highlight of the story :)
