Becstar by Chris Fernandez, Joe Corallo

Thanks to Netgalley for this arc of this story in exchange for an honest review of what I thought of it.

Rating 3⭐.

Becstar is a mercenary playing with time light years from Earth. Leaving her old life behind with the help of her magical dagger of luck and her fan-turned-friend Sally Soolin, Becstar makes a living under the nefarious radar of the Shadow Syndicate. But when a mysterious girl shows up with grim news and an urgent quest where the fate of the universe hangs in the balance, Becstar has no choice but to join...and immediately regret it.

I must say that the story left me a lot to be desired, the premise was quite interesting and the art it has I can't deny it, it's one of the prettiest I've seen, but I feel like I was pulled into a story that had already begun; I would have liked to have been told a little more about Becstar's origin, I think the story we are presented with would have worked much better in a second volume.

I also felt that the relationships and interactions of the characters were very empty and most of the story all these relationships and the plot were too confusing and I think it could have been handled in a better way.

The plot really caught my attention and the art kept me hooked, but almost everything else left me wanting, maybe I'll get around to reading the second volume, but with this one it was a big meh.
