Reality is Not What it Seems: The Journey to Quantum Gravity
by Carlo Rovelli
I doubt there is a clearer way of explaining all the counterintuitive findings of physics. The metaphors are extremely well chosen and the writer is so nice to completely leave out all the mathematics underpinning the different theories. Still, I struggled quite a bit, especially after we leave Einstein and general relativity and move into the quantum world. By the time we reach quantum gravity - supposed to be the main theme of the book - I had to read every page twice at least...healthy to be reminded every now and again what truly great minds are!
