I wouldve gone for the full 5 stars but the last page BAM surprise pregnancy which I literally wanted to throw the book. It was like a fucking jump scare. You're telling me that a Gold of Mustang's intelligence is just going to be ACCIDENTALLY PREGNANT while they're in the middle of a war? She's smarter then that and this was a disgusting thing to do to her. An insult to her intelligence and undermines everything Brown tries to establish with her. She would've had the sense and resources not to get pregnant during literal war and I will live and die on this hill. How dare you.

Plot twist with Servos character was the ONLY redemption for this. Other wise slow. Did this need to be 500 pages? No. A bit of a drag until the Rim meeting with Rogue. I will most likely not be reading the next ones.
