The Book of Guilt
by Catherine Chidgey
This was such a fantastic story. The perfect slow-burn reveal of more detail as everything came together. It goes between the perspectives of Vincent, Lawrence and William, triplets living in the strangely regimented house run by the Sycamore Scheme, Nancy, a young girl who is not allowed to leave her house by her protective parents, and the Minister for Loneliness, the government minister tasked with breaking up the Sycamore Scheme. A beautifully written book about identity and selfhood.
