Well. This is one hell of a book. What I liked about it: it made me think about the whole idea that some writers write because they want to sell, to get published and sometimes they don't even like their own books. I also really liked the ending, it was very satisfactory. Except the fact that Susan was stupidly dumb in the office but I suppose it can happen.
What I didn't like: Horowitz sure likes to talk. This book feels so long and essentially not that much happens but I do admit you get to know and care about the characters. It sucks you in. I also felt like we got the closure to the "real" murder way too close to the "fictional" murder. At that point of the book I didn't much care for the fictional murder(er). The story within was really nice though and felt very Christie-like. Susan's story was also interesting, I just didn't like the exaggeration in the beginning where she says her life got ruined and everything. It didn't. She had her partner and a new job. Everything worked out. Perhaps I was expecting her to accuse Andreas and drive him away. But that would make an even longer book and honestly just no XD I'm really interested in the second book and I have it so I might get to it soon.. But yeah. Overall great story, easy to follow, satisfactory, well written, just a bit wordy.
