Burn in Hail
by Lani Lynn Vale
I wasn’t sure if I was going to like Hennessy, I know, I know. I just kind of thought oh another abused heroine but she really isn’t. The crap she went through only made her the person she is today. I like that she still had her sass and that she might give in but only on things that didn’t matter so much. But when it comes to the important things she stands up for herself.
I am so glad she let Tate in, and his protectiveness just does something for me. Ohhh, baby, he is a fine man.
I think her father gets what he deserved and I wished it was more if I am being honest.
I think overall I enjoyed this story I do wish we had a scene or two with her working with her other patients I think from her pov it could have been pretty funny.
This might be me sounding like a broken record but I loved the narration as always. Sometimes if the same narrators narrate more than one series with an author they tend to blend together but that isn’t the case with these I found they are new and exciting every time.
