Edgar Allan Poe: Illustrated Tales by Edgar Allan Poe

4.0

The illustrations help me visualize Poe’s writings. I listened to some of the stories narrated by Christopher Lee and James Earl Jones. Hearing it and following along with the physical copy makes for a more enjoyable read, especially because Poe’s writings can be a bit much. I don't like the way he writes women. He sees them as fragile, often sick or dead. I understand it's a different time period and his views are a product of the times. The Raven is and always will be a favorite. William Wilson is a new favorite story because it reminded me of Black Swan. Overall 4 stars.
