Unromance by Erin Connor
4.0
This book gave me such true romcom feels! I know I’ve been saying this a lot in reviews lately, but I seriously love when a book nails that nostalgic 2000s romcom vibe. I adored this one-night stand that was never supposed to be more!
Sawyer is a romance author in need of inspiration. Mason is an actor with a history of dating his co-stars. To fend off media attention, Sawyer desperately needs to stay single. And what better way to do that than to enlist a romance expert to help him ruin romance? AKA do all the cheesy tropes together with zero feelings involved.

Honestly, the setup is kind of ridiculous. But I’m here to be entertained, and entertained I was! Give me super flirty, witty banter, and I'm sold nearly every time. And I love when a romance builds a strong friendship first. Both characters are carrying heartbreak from past relationships and dealing with it in very different ways. I loved that Mason was the hopeless romantic, totally obsessed with the magic of falling in love, while Sawyer kept things a lot more guarded.
I enjoyed it so much, and I'm already looking forward to more from Erin Connor. One more thing to mention! The story is set around Christmas and into the New Year (which I totally forgot going in), but I wouldn’t call this a Christmas romance. You can absolutely read it any time of year!
