Most Wonderful by Georgia Clark
3.0
Three adult siblings facing crossroads in their careers and love lives converge on their mother’s Catskills manor in this cozy, queer Christmas romance. Clark put a dash of everything in this heartwarming mug of cocoa—cinnamon, peppermint, marshmallows, schnapps—which made for a festive if overwhelming experience. Depicting three romance plots and untold subplots across three POVs was bound to spread each storyline too thin. But they’re not without substance. The book explores themes of personal growth as well as familial, romantic, and self-love. It lovingly interrogates the creative process, both the work required and the metric by which creatives measure their success. But the chaos doesn’t leave much room for the romances to shine. Only two out of three walked on page with intriguing, established chemistry, so while each pairing could be sweet (and spicy), I chalked this rom-com up as a fun but unmemorable read.
